Metropolitan Park is one step closer to coming to Queens. But we aren’t there yet. 

As part of the next step in the process, the membership needs to make itself heard once again. 

A Community Advisory Committee (CAC) has been formed to review public feedback and determine whether Metropolitan Park has enough community support to advance to the final stage of the review process. The CAC will be meeting multiple times over the next two months to review public support for the project. 

We need to show once again that the members of Local 1 support this vision for the future:

- 23,000 good-paying union jobs
- 25 acres of new public park space, athletic fields, and playgrounds
- Real investment in local infrastructure and brand new 7 line station
- A vibrant, year-round destination at Citi Field
