Application Information
Part 1: Applicant Eligibility
- Must be a New York State resident living in New York City.
- Must be currently enrolled in an Apprenticeship Readiness Program. Examples include:
- Construction Skills (NYC)
- Helmet to Hardhats (NYC)
- Non-Traditional Employment for Women (NYC)
- Pathways to Apprenticeship (NYC)
- Must be a registered apprentice or journeyworker living in a community designated as underserved by New York State.
Disadvantaged Communities Lookup
- Child care provider must be licensed or registered with the NYS Office of Child & Family Services (OCFS).

Part 2: Program Guidelines
- Program runs from September 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
- Monthly payments are made directly to the licensed or registered child care provider.
- Applicants must:
- Submit all required documentation (see Part 3).
- Confirm provider is licensed or registered with OCFS before applying.
- Send completed applications and documents to: tradeschildcare@wdiny.org
- Be a union member in good standing.
