In observance of Veterans Day, the Union Office and Fund Office will close at 3pm on Monday, November 10th, 2025, and will reopen on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025 at 8am.

In the interim, Business Agent Carl Johnson will cover all of the Bronx, as well as Manhattan from 110th Street north and Randalls & Wards Islands. For information regarding agent areas, visit our Jurisdiction section.

Plumbers Local 1 has submitted a Memorandum of Opposition against a newly proposed "100 foot rule" which places an unfair burden on new gas utility customers. CLICK HERE to view it.

We understand that everyone has a busy schedule, and important union meetings may be missed. Instead of turning to social media for answers, please reach out to the Union Office at 718-738-7500. The agent of the day is available to assist with any questions related to union activities, political action, and new programs like 485-X, which aims to build workforce housing.

Additionally, members’ support is crucial for the modification of 224-A.

Our apprentices go through a rigorous 5-year program on their way to becoming experienced journeymen, but the training doesn't end there.
