From 1/24/2022 to 2/3/2022, Plumbers Local 1 will open in-person registration for our upcoming NYC Plumber’s Helper Exam Prep Course. This free course will be available to any applicant who meets all of the Eligibility Requirements below.
To apply you must:
- have continuously been in Good Standing (not having Suspended or Expelled) for a period of at least 2 years or be on Local carry.
- currently be working for a Signatory Contractor of Local 1 or a City Agency and provide proof of such (W2s and/or pay stubs).
- provide an active cell phone number and email address at the time of registration to receive communications regarding the course.
Registration will take place weekdays from 9am to 3:30pm during the registration period. After the registration period has ended, class dates and course requirements will be communicated to all registered members by text and email.
We encourage all of our members to download the KMR Union Dues App today, available for iOS and Android. A User ID & temporary password allowing access to your account were sent by email and sent to your home address in a follow-up mailing. If you do not have this information, call the Union Office, and we will be glad to assist you.
We have reopened the Building with new safety protocols. Any member or visitor will need to make an appointment before entering the building.
Please note: We will not be accepting ANY WALK-INS. Members must make an APPOINTMENT prior to visiting the Local 1 Building. Appointments will be limited to 15 minutes for dues payments and 30 minutes to meet with an officer. Any person entering the Building will have their temperature scanned upon arrival. Hand sanitizer stations have been set up throughout the building. We encourage our members opt to pay Union Dues over the phone or through the KMR App rather than in person.
