The Trade Education Fund operates the Plumbers & Gas-Fitters Training Center as an educational institution jointly managed between U.A. Plumbers & Gas-Fitters Local Union No. 1 and the Association of Contracting Plumbers of the City of New York. In addition to our New York State registered five-year apprenticeship program, we offer Journeyman training and certification courses, training for Service Division Helpers, Medical Gas Installer certification, New York State Health Department Backflow Prevention certification, Northeast Gas Association Operator Qualification training, New York City Department of Buildings approved Gas Inspector training, and New York City Department of Buildings approved NCPWB Pipe Welder Qualification, among.

Location: The training center is located in a geographically central location within our jurisdiction of New York City. We are in the borough of Queens, in the Long Island City / Sunnyside area. We are on the corner of 47th Avenue and 37th street. The #7 subway line is nearby, at the 40th street (Lowery) station.
