More than 1000 New York City high school students, expressing interest in joining the Building Trades unions of New York City, were brought to the Javits Convention Center, with school officials. CLICK HERE: JAVITS ______________________________________________________________ PHOTO FILE - June 4, 2005 NEW YORK STATE APPRENTICE COMPETITION On Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the United Association's Northeast Regional Training Center in Peekskill, N.Y., the New York State Association of Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors held a statewide apprentice competition. The competition involves a written and a practical test and the winner goes on to represent New York in the national competition at the National Association of Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors convention. ______________________________________________________________ PHOTO FILE - July 20, 2005 MILITARY FLAG PRESENTATION On Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at our regular union meeting, Plumbers Local 1 proudly accepted an American flag which was flown over Iraq / Afghanistan. The flag was presented by Brother Kevin Reilly who is a member of the United States Air Force Reserve, and brought the flag home for presentation to the union.
