PHOTO FILE - November 9, 2006 GRADUATION CEREMONIES FOR THE CLASSES OF 2006 On Thursday, November 9, 2006 at at the Astoria World Manor in Astoria, Queens,, Plumbers Local Union No. 1 Trade Education Fund held graduation ceremonies for our newest Journeymen. Each class (spring and fall) had one apprentice selected as the winner of the George Meany Memorial Academic Excellence Award, which is given to the apprentice in each class who by excellence in craft skills and outstanding scholarship, has earned the approbation of the Trustees, J.A.T.C., and Instructors of the Plumbers Local Union No. 1 Trade Education program.
